Virus in stool 10 months later

SARS-CoV-2 particles are found in the stool of 13% of patients even 7 months after mild to moderate Covid.

This "fecal shedding" can continue even 10 months after the initial infection and is associated with gastrointestinal symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting, suggesting prolonged infection of the gastrointestinal tract.
